The Blacklist Season Finale Is Imminent… Are You Ready?
Now that the spin-off episode has passed, and subsequently scored “Redemption” its very own timeslot on NBC, we can look forward to the real main event… The Blacklist Season Finale.
The season has been uneven in my opinion, but that doesn’t lessen my love for, and enjoyment of, the show overall. There have been some seriously shining moments that were good to hold onto in those ‘WTF’ moments that seemed to pop up from time to time. Since Liz’s ‘death’ the show has taken a much different turn than what we are used too, and in some cases I think it has worked well. It’s helped to convey the sadness and sorrow Raymond feels believing his Lizzie is gone.
However, as we approach the season 3 finale, I hope to see more of the vengeful Raymond which is very possible by the look of the photos below. Mostly though, I really want to know who Alexander Kirk really is and what he wanted with either Liz and/or Agnes.
First Look Photos from The Blacklist “Alexander Kirk: Conclusion”
Synopsis from NBC:
05/19/2016 (09:00PM – 10:01PM) (Thursday): As Reddington (James Spader) and the task force close in on the person responsible for Liz’s death, a shocking betrayal leaves them racing to save one of their own.
Between the photos above, and the promo below, I think we are in for one hell of a finale!

Taking into account that the spin-off has been ordered to series, I think that Tom is going to take Alice and run, giving him an out of the mothership series. In the promo, Mr. Kaplan and Dembe are chasing after Tom and Agnes after he gave them the slip. Did Red order them to keep an eye on Tom, or is he breaching the “Liz Death Pact” that they all possibly have together?
NBC has been teasing that there is going to be the ultimate betrayal… my guess (for whatever my half-brained ideas are worth) is that Raymond finds out that Kaplan helped to fake Elizabeth’s death. Whatever their relationship is, it appeared to be just as important as the one between Red and Dembe. She was angry with him that Liz was in the situation she was in and with Dr. Nick on the scene, someone who also cares for Liz, it was a perfect opportunity to get Liz away from Raymond and keep her alive.
Then there is the dynamic between ‘by the book’ Ressler, and ‘shoot all bad guys’ Reddington. Raymond wants to kill Kirk, and in the promo, Ressler seems determined to stop him from doing it. But, if we have learned anything in these last three years, no one tells Reddington what to do or not to do.
The Blacklist season finale airs Thursday, May 19th at 9/8C on NBC.
