The Blacklist 3×22 “Alexander Kirk” Episode Preview
There are only two episodes left in the third season of The Blacklist. Make sure to leave your predictions for the finale in the comments after checking out the pictures and promos for the penultimate episode of The Blacklist, “Alexander Kirk“.
05/12/2016 (09:00PM – 10:01PM): The FBI task force’s hunt for revenge nears its endgame. As Reddington (James Spader) and the team close in on the mysterious arch-criminal responsible for recent tragic events, they’re forced to operate outside their comfort zone — and outside the law — in order to take down their enemy once and for all.

After looking through the photos, I cannot wait to see what would lead Tom to let Susan anywhere near Agnes. Something tells me that Tom and Susan have some sort of past together, though I hope it isn’t another past romantic entanglement. Even though this episode is supposed to help set up the new spin-off show, there are still a lot of questions that need to be answered about who is behind Liz’s attempted kidnapping and “death” (yup, still putting her death in quotes).
Last week, Reddington was able to get the name of the man behind the curtain, Alexander Kirk. This week, hopefully his part in this picture comes to light and we can finally learn who he is and why he wanted Liz. I have my opinions on that matter, but let’s save those for the time being.
Another perplexing image from this set of episode photos, is the task force working with the latest crop of bad guys in order to (assumingly) bring down Mr. Kirk. I understand that everyone wants to bring this guy to justice for his role in Liz’s (fake) demise, but I find it a bit hard to imagine them all playing nice long enough to get the job done.
Luckily, there was a tidbit in the latest Spoiler Room column with Natalie Abrams on EW about just this…
What’s coming up on The Blacklist? — Ronald
Though Red wants to work with Scottie Hargrave to track down the man (ahem) responsible for what happened to Liz, that won’t sit well with the Task Force. “We don’t want to do it,” says Mozhan Marnò, hinting that the new arrangement will cause a rift within the team. “There’s always some kind of division on our team. Everyone wants to do the same job in a different way.”
What do you think? Is it possible for our task force to work well with the enemy to achieve their end results?
Revenge is in the Air – Promo for “Alexander Kirk”
Who is Alexander Kirk exactly? In this world of Raymond Reddington, only God knows exactly how many enemies this man truly has. We’ve seen other people use Liz to go after Red, but this time I really don’t believe this is entirely about revenge on Reddington’s past discretions. In this cast, I believe that Alexander Kirk could be a key player in Elizabeth’s, sorry, Masha’s past.
Having her true identity broadcast to the public flushed him out of the shadows and for whatever reason, he wants Liz. My guess… I think there is a good chance that Alexander Kirk may be Masha’s biological father. I know there are people still holding onto the Liz/Red daddy connection, but that ship sailed long ago.
If we are to believe Raymond, Katarina Rostova walked into the ocean to her own watery grave, so any real involvement on her end seems unlikely. According to Liz’s regression session, she shot her father and he subsequently perished in a fire. Raymond must have witnessed the gun shot, and got burned getting Liz out of the fire to safety. But, if Liz’s bio dad survived the gunshot and the fire, hearing his missing daughter’s name in the media would be cause for him to order her abduction.
If this ends up being true (which is a very slight possibility I’m sure), then where does the show go from here? With Liz supposedly dead, Tom off to do his own thing and the mystery of Liz’s paternity solved… does the task force keep working with Reddington? Or does he disappear and they turn around to target him as the #1 name on the list? Either way, I believe the landscape of The Blacklist’s season 4 is going to look a lot different than it has so far.
