Episode Preview: The Blacklist 3×03 “Eli Matchett”

The Blacklist‘s third season has been nothing short of spectacular already, and we are only getting ready to preview episode 3! I can’t say I am surprised though, as so far the writers and cast have yet to disappoint.

Next Thursday, October 15th, The Blacklist returns with “Eli Matchett”. Below is a quick synopsis of the episode, and the promo for 3×03. Thanks to SpoilerTV, we’ve also got a full set of promotional pictures too! So, take a few moments and look through the gallery – next week we are poised for another great episode!

Red (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) take a detour towards the Midwest as part of their mission to exonerate Liz and defeat the Cabal. Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff), Samar (Mozhan Marno) and Aram (Amir Arison) continue to track the fugitives and in the process stumble upon what could become a global food crisis. Meanwhile, Cooper turns to an unlikely ally.

Take a scroll through the picture gallery below for some still shots of the next episode of The Blacklist. The pictures feature Megan Boone as Elizabeth Keen, James Spader as Raymond Reddington, Ryan Eggold as Tom Keen (or is it Jacob Phelps? Seriously, WTF do we call him now?), Diego Klattenhoff as Donald Ressler and Mozhan Marno as Agent Samar Navabi.

While you do that, I am going to go and rewatch the latest episode again. It was a beautifully written episode from Co-EP Daniel Knauf, and it deserves another watch (or two). There was plenty of storytime with Red, and fantastic bit of trickery courtesy of Mr. Reddington that has to be one of the coolest plans he’s hatched yet.

What I am most looking forward too next week: this confrontation between Jacob (Tom) and Ressler. I am excited to see what Jacob has to say, and how Ressler will perceive it. Can he be the one to get Ressler to back off of targeting Liz as a terrorist? Maybe he’s come back with some new information that will help finally exonerate her? Either way, it’s going to be one hell of a chat!
